SaiTong Thai
What Does 'SaiTong' Mean?
In Thai, “ไทร” (Sai) refers to the majestic Banyan tree—cherished for the shade it
gives, the protection it symbolizes, and the deep roots that represent strength and
growth—while “ทอง” (Tong) means gold. Together, Sai Tong means “Golden Tree,” a
name that reflects warmth, prosperity, and a place where people can gather and feel at
home.
At Saitong, those roots are personal. As a family-owned restaurant that first planted itself
in Queens, New York with Spicy Shallot, we’re proud to continue growing our story and
expanding our family with you. Through thoughtful design featuring natural textures,
woven craftsmanship, and touches of black and gold, we celebrate the beauty of Thai
heritage. Most importantly, we share it through our food—authentic Thai flavors
presented with a modern touch—and heartfelt hospitality that makes every visit feel
special and memorable.
